Journey Together’s middle school courses give Grades 6–8 students a structured, Christ-centered place to grow in curiosity, independence, and deeper academic engagement. While current offerings include social studies and science alongside younger grade levels, middle school students are guided toward stronger research, discussion, presentation, and critical-thinking skills as they prepare for high school learning.

For the 2026–2027 year, Journey Together offers middle school students classes in science and social studies. As the program grows, additional middle school-specific courses may be added.

Social studies: world geography

Wednesdays | 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

$60 / semester*

Instructor: Amanda Krehbiel

This World Geography class will encompass many different aspects of geography with interactive virtual travels around the world. We will spend the two semesters covering all seven continents, and looking at a few main countries in each. We will study things such as landforms, map skills, ecosystems, animals, and many hands on activities related to that country. Sometimes it may even include cultural snacks and games. In the 3rd through 5th grade class, students will participate in research/note taking skills during class. In the 6th through 8th, there will also be an expectation of an at home country research project to present in class. This class will compile passports, portfolios, experiences of all the countries we visit and learn about. The students will walk away with a wider perspective of the great world which God has created for us to live in.
